These termly meetings provide a strategic forum within which matters that relate to and impact upon the broad spectrum of learners and learning provision in Hounslow can be considered.  Membership covers key stakeholders across all 14-25 learning and provision. \nThe purpose of the meetings are to: \n\nProvide strategic leadership on the 14 to 25 agenda and advocate change beneficial to all young people in Hounslow\nPromote collaboration across providers with the aim of offering a comprehensive and coherent set of qualifications and learning experiences for Hounslow’s young people\nConsider the impact of National\, Pan-London\, sub-regional and local policy initiatives on local provision by:\n\nSharing updates/implications of key priorities from different provision perspectives within the wider group\nInviting representatives from key influencing bodies/partnerships to provide inputs at meetings as appropriate\nResponding collectively to relevant consultations\n\n\nIdentify external funding and resource opportunities which could add value to the Hounslow provision offer and to agree the processes for securing and (where successful) allocating and managing resources\nAdvocate for high quality careers education and impartial advice and guidance in line with DFE policy in order to support students’ career and learning choices

DESCRIPTION:The Vulnerable Students and SEND Group (VSSG) is set up to deliver a more strategic and coherent approach to supporting vulnerable students\, and to ensure ongoing improvement in SEND working between the LA and Hounslow Schools. \nThe VSSG will work in close partnership with the LA to the benefit of all member schools\, high needs funding spending and VSSG membership funding. Smaller working groups may be identified to pick up on particular streams of commissioned work. \nThe purpose of the meetings are to: \n\nReview the progress and outcomes at KS4 and 6th Form\, Hounslow-wide\nIdentify strengths and areas for joint development agreed by Secondary Heads\nSupport the planning and delivery of professional development and best practice at all levels in our schools\, where possible working with our teaching schools\nQuality assure the service offers or commissioned work – eg subject networks\, teaching and learning focused work\, and peer reviews\nConsider feedback from member schools on their needs in order to investigate further potential service developments\nAdvise the partnership director on drawing up action plans for any commissioned work
