DESCRIPTION:The course will be facilitated by AVA (Against Violence and Abuse) over two twilight sessions taking place in the Spring term.  The training is offered free of charge to schools and numbers are limited. Please make sure you are able to attend both sessions of the training on consecutive weeks.  \nThis funded training will look at Domestic Abuse theory and specifically how children are affected. Focus will be given to behavioural\, emotional and cognitive effects on children\, as well as the impact on parenting for both the abusive and the non-abusive parent. \nYou will: \n\nExpand on existing knowledge of and experience in domestic violence work\nExplore examples of good practice and projects\nLearn about the impacts / indicators of domestic abuse on children\nLearn about how to respond to disclosures from parents and children\nLearn how schools can engage safely with parents\nLearn how to undertake safety planning and risk assessment with children\nBuild confidence in challenging myths and stereotypes.

Online webinar (available for 72 hours) each half term offering high quality structured and strategic thinking and planning time for Headteachers\, Deputies and Senior Leaders. \nThe purpose of the sessions has always been to provide senior teams with structured\, high quality strategic thinking time\, consistent with the underlying theme of ‘getting ahead and staying ahead’. \nGiven the nature of this year’s challenges the initial sessions focused on survival – how best to ensure the immediate and short-term challenges could be successfully met.  \nThe remaining sessions for this school year will start to focus on longer-term priorities to ensure that schools in the post-pandemic world will be positioned to prepare children even more effectively for life in a changing and increasingly challenging world.

DESCRIPTION:Hounslow School Leadership Cluster Programme 2021/22\nLed by Dr John Yates\nBy selecting 1 on the booking form\, you will register your school interest in the full 2021/22 programme.  \nThe six-session cluster leadership programme for the senior teams of Hounslow primary schools has been very well received for the decade in which it has been running. The purpose of the sessions has always been to provide senior teams with structured\, high quality strategic thinking time\, consistent with the underlying theme of ‘getting ahead and staying ahead’. \nThe 2021/22 programme starting in September (dates TBC) will build on the work done this year. In addition to keeping participants up to date with key national developments\, the sessions will focus on: \n\nbuilding a curriculum that will equip children for life\nbecoming an even stronger values-led school\ntaking the personal development of pupils to a deeper level\nshaping teaching and learning in readiness for the future\nmaximising the job satisfaction and fulfilment of the workforce\n\nThe online sessions will be 3.5 hours in length and available for viewing over a ten-day period. The fee per session per school will be circa £150.  \nSchools wishing to participate in the 2021/22 programme starting in September will need to sign-up by Friday 30 April 2021. Intake will be limited to 22 schools with places allocated on a first come\, first served basis. \nFull details can be found here.
