DESCRIPTION:Sharpening School Evaluation – delivered by Dr Julia Coop in partnership with HEP\nIntended for senior leaders of primary schools\, this revised and practical\, up to the minute\, four-day course\, enables delegates to look at their school through the eyes of an inspector.  \nThroughout the four days\, delegates will: \n\nFollow a case study\, in order to gain a thorough understanding of the EIF\nDevelop ‘deep dive’ monitoring skills and sharpen self-evaluation\n\nThe course will also:  \n\nAugment individual professional development\nUnlock potential\nSupport whole-school improvement\n\nAt the same time\, the course provides an ideal foundation for delegates to hone their skills when participating in HEP peer reviews. \nDates: \nThe course will be run in two blocks of two days from 9am – 3:30pm\, venue (tbc) \n\nDay 1 – Tuesday 1st February – Setting the scene: Top Level View\nDay 2 – Wednesday 2nd February – Developing Skills: Quality of Education\nDay 3 – Tuesday 8th March – Developing skills: Quality of Education/wider outcomes\nDay 4 – Wednesday 9th March – EYFS: From Evaluation to SDP\n\nFull details can be found here.

SUMMARY:Secondary Subject Networks
DESCRIPTION:Introduction: \nSubject Networks have been established to assist the development of subject teaching in Hounslow Education Partnership (HEP) Secondary Schools whilst supporting the CPD of middle leaders.  In 2021-22 Subject Networks will continue to be supported by the London Borough of Hounslow (LBH) 14-19 service team (Nina Johal) and HEP (Emma Pett).  \nPurpose: \nTo facilitate the development of high quality subject teaching across HEP Secondary Schools.  \nObjectives: \n\nTo develop professional relationships between colleagues from different schools which facilitates ongoing peer support (i.e. outside the formal meeting structure);\nTo support Subject Leads/Heads of Department/Curriculum Leads (SLs) in keeping up to date with emerging policy and consider with their subject colleagues the implications for strategy and practice;\nTo facilitate sharing and development of good practice related to subject teaching\, learning and assessment;\nTo provide a mechanism for efficient and effective consultation and information flow between SLs and HEP.
