DESCRIPTION:A Writing for Pleasure Project for HEP Primary Schools in partnership with St Mary's University\, Twickenham\nAimed at KS1 and KS2 teachers. \nThe project\nThis three-year project is aimed at growing a team of expert\, engaged teachers to develop the ‘will’ to be a writer. \nThe programme will be run by senior lecturers from St Mary's University\, Twickenham: \n\nFinola Utton and Jo Head (KS1)\nKerry Assemakis and Karen Fox (KS2)\n\nMore information \nDates\nSessions will take place online\, via Zoom\, on Wednesdays\, 1-3pm: \n\n19th November 2025\n28th January 2026\n4th March 2026\n29th April 2026\n10th June 2026\n\nPlease note – you will be asked to complete a series of questions to review your practice as part of your booking.  \nDesigned by the St Mary's team\, this self-review will help you reflect on your current personal identity as a writer. Research shows that teachers who write\, teach writing best. DESCRIPTION:Introduction: \nSubject Networks have been established for over a decade to assist the development of subject teaching in secondary schools whilst supporting the CPD of middle leaders. Subject Networks is overseen by Hounslow Education Partnership\, and led by an expert practitioner from within HEP schools.  \nPurpose: \nTo facilitate the development of high quality subject teaching across HEP Secondary Schools.  \nObjectives: \n\nTo develop professional relationships between colleagues from different schools which facilitates ongoing peer support (i.e. outside the formal meeting structure);\nTo support Subject Leads/Heads of Department/Curriculum Leads (SLs) in keeping up to date with emerging policy and consider with their subject colleagues the implications for strategy and practice;\nTo facilitate sharing and development of good practice related to subject teaching\, learning and assessment;\nTo provide a mechanism for efficient and effective consultation and information flow between SLs and HEP. \n\nFo further details\, please contact e.pett@hounsloweducationpartnership.co.uk
