DESCRIPTION:*NEW for 2025/26*\n CPD led by Charlotte Raby and Reading for Pleasure Ambassadors\nBooks that inspire – Tuesday 21st April\, 1:15-3:15pm\, online\nBook your place here\nAimed at:\n\nPrimary\, Secondary and Special schools\nFor all Class Teachers\, Practitioners\, Senior Leaders\, English Leaders and SENDCos\n\nTheme:\nIn this session\, you will get expert advice\, from Charlotte and the Ambassadors\, about how to adapt your practice to help children access a range books and develop a genuine love of reading. \nA teacher's knowledge of children’s literature is crucial to embedding a reading culture in your school.\nThis workshop is about discovering great books\, where to find them for your setting as well as learning to curate your book corners/areas to entice all children in your class/school to pick up a book. \nLearn more about how to create and sustain a book buzz and authentic reading practices. SUMMARY:Get Hounslow Writing – Ambassadors
DESCRIPTION:Writing Ambassador programme for HEP Primary Schools in partnership with St Mary's University\, Twickenham\n\nAimed at KS1 and KS2 teachers who have completed one year of GHW. \nAmbassador programme – from Year 2\nTeachers who have completed one year of GHW will automatically become teachers-as-writers Ambassadors for their school. \nIn Year 2 of the programme\, they will work with the St Mary's team\, meeting half -termly for one hour to conduct action research. \nThe programme will be run by senior lecturers from St Mary's University\, Twickenham: \n\nFinola Utton and Jo Head (KS1)\nKerry Assemakis and Karen Fox (KS2)\n\nMore information \nDates\nSessions will take place online\, via Teams\, on Wednesdays\, 1-2pm: \n\n1st October 2025\n12th November 2025\n21st January 2026\n25th February 2026\n22nd April 2026\n3rd June 2026\n\nResearch shows that teachers who write\, teach writing best.
