DESCRIPTION:Primary Subject Leader Programme 2023/24 led by experienced subject specialists – \nSpring term network week – 4th-7th March 2024 \nIn 2022/23\, as identified through joint practice development\, this popular and successful programme will continue with three meetings throughout the year to keep subject leaders up-to-date with the national perspective and good practice developments within their subject. \nNew Poetry network for 2023/24\nWe are delighted to be able to offer a termly Poetry network this year. This will be facilitated be Jonny Walker who delivered a keynote and workshop at the Get Hounslow Reading conference. \nWe are also pleased to announce that Matthew Courtney from Wandle English Hub will be facilitating all future English networks. \nPlease note that the English and Poetry sessions will be scheduled on different days. \nHow will it work?\nWe will run meetings over three days during our Subject Network week. This will allow leaders who oversee multiple subjects in their school to attend one or more of the sessions. \nAll subject network meetings will take place via Zoom at 4-6pm. \nEach subject will be led by a specialist within that subject\, offering a perspective beyond Hounslow. \nWhat if you lead more than one subject?\nPlease select all the subject network meetings you would like to attend on the booking form. \nIf you have any questions\, please contact – n.standing@hounsloweducationpartnership.co.uk

SUMMARY:Secondary Subject Networks
DESCRIPTION:Introduction: \nSubject Networks have been established for over a decade to assist the development of subject teaching in secondary schools whilst supporting the CPD of middle leaders. In 2023/24\, Subject Networks will be overseen by Hounslow Education Partnership\, and led by an expert practitioner from within HEP schools.  \nPurpose: \nTo facilitate the development of high quality subject teaching across HEP Secondary Schools.  \nObjectives: \n\nTo develop professional relationships between colleagues from different schools which facilitates ongoing peer support (i.e. outside the formal meeting structure);\nTo support Subject Leads/Heads of Department/Curriculum Leads (SLs) in keeping up to date with emerging policy and consider with their subject colleagues the implications for strategy and practice;\nTo facilitate sharing and development of good practice related to subject teaching\, learning and assessment;\nTo provide a mechanism for efficient and effective consultation and information flow between SLs and HEP. \n\nFo further details\, please contact e.pett@hounsloweducationpartnership.co.uk
