We have planned all initial logistics using feedback from DSLs. \n\nWednesday 10th of September\n2.00-4pm\nGrasshoppers\, Syon Lane\, Isleworth\n\nHere's how it will work\n\nHEP has shared a proforma with primaries to complete\, giving the names of children transferring to each specific secondary.\nThe primary DSLs will bring two copies of the completed form to the meeting\, which will be signed by both primary and secondary DSLs\, before handing over any paperwork. DESCRIPTION:The Secondary Leaders of Teaching and Learning (SLTL) group provides a forum to: \n\ndevelop professional relationships between colleagues from different schools facilitating ongoing peer support\ndiscuss the impact of\, and responses to\, emerging challenges specifically related to teaching and learning (e.g. assessment\, targets\, QA\, recruitment and retention)\nfacilitate sharing and development of good practice specifically related to teaching and learning (e.g. within school improvement\, curriculum development and design\, assessment)\ndevelop an efficient and effective consultation and information flow between SLTL\, their schools and HEP on programmes such as Subject Networks (SN) and Post-16 Pedagogy in Practice (PPP)\, which in turn supports middle leaders’ CPD\nidentify new areas of need; using that to both refine existing programmes and design and develop new initiatives.\n\nFor further details\, please contact e.pett@hounsloweducationpartnership.co.uk

SUMMARY:School-Led Improvement Primary (SLIP)
DESCRIPTION:The School-Led Improvement Primary (SLIP) is a strategic group of collaborative lead Headteachers. \nSLIP works in partnership with the local authority (LA) and meets a number of the LA’s school improvement responsibilities through this school-led model. It provides oversight and direction for the Hounslow school improvement strategy and maintains an overview of school performance via Peer Challenge\, including for schools causing concern. \nThe group meets half-termly across the year. \nThe purpose of the meetings are to: \n\nreview the progress and outcomes of all schools and confirm a borough-wide picture of quality and standards\nreview strengths and vulnerabilities\nset and review the Hounslow Primary Performance Challenge\nreview action plans for schools causing concern and recommendations for LA interventions\nreview school-to-school support and joint practice development opportunities\nreview and discuss priorities for the LA and to agree the support to be commissioned or brokered for schools.

DESCRIPTION:Writing Ambassador programme for HEP Primary Schools in partnership with St Mary's University\, Twickenham\n\nAimed at KS1 and KS2 teachers who have completed one year of GHW. \nTeachers who have completed one year of GHW will automatically become teachers-as-writers Ambassadors for their school. \nThey will work with the St Mary's team\, meeting half-termly for one hour to conduct action research. \nThe programme will be run by senior lecturers from St Mary's University\, Twickenham: \n\nFinola Utton and Jo Head (KS1)\nKerry Assemakis and Karen Fox (KS2)\n\nResearch shows that teachers who write\, teach writing best.
