The National Year of Reading Conference 2026
This is in support of the DfE’s announcement of The National Year of Reading starting on 1st January 2026 with the ‘Go All In’ campaign launched by the National Literacy Trust.

The date and time
Wednesday 11th March 2024, 9am-4:30pm
Aimed at:
- everyone working in a Hounslow school across EYFS, KS1, 2, 3 and SEND
- Teachers, LSAs, TAs, SENDCos, librarians, subject leaders and senior leaders
Cost and what's included
£50 per ticket – Take advantage of the Early bird offer and reserve your ticket for £30 until 19th December 2025.
Tickets will include refreshments and lunch
Once booking is complete, each school will be invoiced for payment.

The event
Admission strictly by ticket only.
We will work closely with ambassadors to design and deliver the day which will include:
- keynotes from Charlotte Raby and special guest speakers
- Hounslow Library Service, Wandle English Hub, Collins and Oxford University Press
- the return of our popular blind-date-with-a-book swap
- workshops designed and run by GHR Ambassadors and St Mary's University colleagues
- The Alligator's Mouth Bookshop
- opportunities for delegates to network and share practice
- a marketplace for displaying and sharing practice and resources
