Aimed at KS1 and KS2 teachers.

The project

This project is aimed at growing a team of expert, engaged teachers to develop the ‘will’ to be a writer.

Research shows that teachers who write, teach writing best. Being a teacher writer is crucial to the development of young writers, fostering a writing for pleasure ethos and is a core professional responsibility.

The programme is led by senior lecturers from St Mary's University, Twickenham:

Kerry Assemakis and Karen Fox (KS2)
