What does real inclusion look like for wobbly, reluctant, SEND and EAL readers?

  • Class Teachers, Senior Leaders, English Leaders and SENDCos
Theme:

In this session, you will get expert advice, from Charlotte and the Ambassadors, about how to adapt your practice to help children access books and develop a genuine love of reading.

This evidence-based session will outline how to set up and embed practices that will positively impact all children.

Hear from schools who specialise in teaching pupils with SEND about how they support pupils with:

  • Hearing and visual impairment
  • Speech and language difficulties including dyslexia, non-verbal and selective mutism
  • Neurodivergence

Find out how to support children develop a love of reading and find themselves reflected in books that authentically represent the lives of disabled people. Get advice on how to give access to reading for non-speaking pupils.
