Workshops, surveys and webinars –

HEP is delighted to report that the second round of workshops has been completed by Hounslow primary schools under the enthusiastic and expert guidance of Charlotte Raby.

Delegates have enjoyed reading the books that arrived in their schools last term and have already begun to inject a book buzz into their classrooms.

All workshop resources can now be accessed via the HEP Padlet and each group has been given a link to a book recommendation Padlet so they can keep adding their ‘sales pitches’ to be used with their pupils in class.

Teachers were asked to complete a baseline survey with their pupils to show current reading practices in their class, and to complete an online questionnaire to report back. We will repeat the surveys at the end of the programme to measure impact so it’s essential that these are completed. Please encourage your teachers to do this by half term.

The next free author webinar will take place on Thursday 7th October 7 – 8:30pm.
This webinar is free for all participants. For more information, please contact Nikki Gamble directly so she can send you the registration link and details about each of the events, and let her know you are part of the Get Hounslow Reading Programme –
