Primary Subject Leader Networks

Published: Monday, February 7th, 2022 at 10:15 AM

Second meeting on Thursday 17th March 2022 –

HEP would like to share information about the next Primary Subject Leader network session.

The second session will take place on Thursday 17th March, 4-5:30pm, via Zoom.

Identified through Joint Practice Development, these sessions keep subject leaders up-to-date with the national perspective and good practice developments within their subject.

There is no need to book a ticket, as everyone who is already registered will be sent a Zoom invitation.

At the first session in November 2021, 215 teachers attended a subject network session. All subjects, facilitated by subject experts, were offered apart from Art/DT.

Of the 105 delegates who completed the survey:

  • 83% felt they had a clear understanding of the information available to support them in their role as a subject leader
  • 90% felt the length of the network session was sufficient
  • 88% agreed or strongly agreed that online networking met their expectations
  • 92% agreed or strongly agreed that the quality of the subject specialist met my expectations

Following feedback from the facilitators, we would like to remind delegates of the protocol for these network meetings.

Please remind your teachers to:

  • Read the agenda which will be sent with your invitation
  • Come to the session prepared and willing to participate and share ideas and practice
  • Ensure you have your camera on and you have audio working

An invitation for the session will be with all delegates by half term.

The subjects currently being offered are –

History, Geography, Maths, English, Music, RE, Science, PSHE, PE, Computing, MfL
