Secondary Subject Network Surveys

Published: Friday, June 25th, 2021 at 11:46 AM

Deadline to complete surveys is Friday 2nd July –

HEP is grateful for the surveys that have already been returned by both Subject Network members and Subject Network leads. So far, 11 leads and 76 members have completed the survey.

Please can you encourage any remaining colleagues to complete these by the end of this week, 2nd July? Their feedback will be collated and published in a report at the start of next academic year.

There has been some very positive feedback so far which we’d like to share with you:

“The best part is feeling like you are making decisions in line with other schools. When so much was up in the air about exams it was an amazing relief to talk to everyone and compare notes.”

“It is great to know what other schools in the borough are doing and it makes your role feel less isolated.”

“Sharing practice. Discussing challenges with colleagues. Sense of being part of a wider team for small departments.”

These surveys can be found on the HEP website, via the links below and they have also been emailed to all members and leads by Nina Johal.

What our members say

Get Hounslow Reading – “Excellent session, Charlotte has extensive knowledge and understanding and I am really looking forward to being involved in the project.”

Secondary Subject Networks – “I’ve really appreciated sharing practice, discussing challenges with colleagues and having a sense of being part of a wider team for small departments.”

Primary Subject Leader Networks – “I really like the idea of subject specialists leading subject leader meetings.”

SEND Training – “There was plenty of time for discussion which was valuable. Strategies to help support, and ideas to consider, if children have been impacted by Domestic Abuse allowed me to think about the issues more than before."

Deep Dive Subject Leader Training – “Thank you for the very detailed and thorough subject leader checklist. It is an extremely useful and much necessary exercise. It's been an eye opener. Thank you”

Develop your A Level Teaching – “Really interesting to hear what other schools are thinking of doing by way of a recovery curriculum when we return. I think the discussions around wellbeing were very pertinent.”
